The Panerai Luminor Marina 8 Days Acciaio in Stainless Steel. Model reference: PAM 563. The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 563 8 Days Acciaio features the in-house manufacture calibre P.5000, which provides a power reserve of eight days. It is only 4.5mm thick, making a flatter design of the Luminor housing possible. The mechanical movement consists of 127 components, including the Glucydur® balance, the KIF Parechoc® shock protection and two barrels. One can view these at work through the sapphire crystal caseback. The movement is housed in a housing made of polished steel of grade AISI 316L. With a housing diameter of only 44mm, this watch is 3mm smaller than the original vintage models from Florence. On the other hand, like their historical models, this timepiece is water-resistant to 300m depth, thus making it absolutely suitable for watersports. The characteristics of the Panerai watches include crown protection that protects the winding crown. The 2.5 millimetre thick watch glass made of anti-reflective sapphire crystal, so the timepiece works equally well even at great depth. The watch has a modern and simple design with clean lines. On the white dial, the hour and minute displays a small second placed in the 9 o’clock position. For the 3, 6 and 12 marks, the hour digits are displayed in plain black big numbers, as with all Luminor models. All hands and markers are also coated with glow in the dark material. This makes discerning the time simple even underwater and in the dark. The brown calf leather strap with black stitches is in keeping with the general retro look of the watch, reminiscent of the traditional navy watches. With its historical attributes, the Panerai Luminor Marina 8 Days Acciaio is continuing a unique tradition. Hence, it is a model for collectors and lovers of maritime designs. The watch comes in original packaging, with a set of documents.
