By selling your watch through Ticking Way, we take care of all the marketing, photography, sales, payment, customer service & logistics. We advertise your watch on our own website as well as many other online marketplaces. Our strong social media presence including our ‘Watch Collecting Strategy’ YouTube channel, creates significant exposure to your timepiece to more potential buyers.
Timepiece care & insurance
While your timepiece is in our custody, we will have it fully insured & locked away is a secure location. Our team are fully trained to handle and care for high value inventory daily.
The way this works for both parties.
To consign your watch to Ticking Way, please call us or make a request online using our online form. We will then advise you on the expected sale value of your piece dependent on factors such as model, age, condition, service history and whether your piece is complete with the original box and papers. If the value range we propose is in line with your expected value and you decide to move ahead, we will send you a prepaid shipping label to send us your watch. Your watch will usually be advertised for sale within a few days and offered to our large existing customer base. We keep you informed along the way and will contact you if there are any offers on your watch below the agreed to value. The average timeframe to sell your watch is about 1 to 8 weeks. You may request to have the watch returned to you at any time. If you decide to withdraw from the sale for any reason, you will be responsible to pay the agreed upon commission of 10%.
Fees and Payments
No upfront payment is required when selling a watch with us and we offer full transparency on the sale and all costs involved. Once we sell your watch for the amount you approve, the only fees that apply are 10% commission to Ticking Way for our service, all shipping costs and in some cases some finance costs if your watch is sold via channels or payment means where transaction fees apply. You get paid within 5 days of us receiving final payment for the sale. Payment to you is typically done via bank transfer or check.
